Fully competent in the processing of manual rate calculations, pricing and quoting of Group Insurance Small Market accounts including the review and rating process for Request for Proposals and Rerates. Work is completed in accordance with PAN guidelines. Responsibilities include participation in the quoting process in partnership with the sales organization. Incumbents may also handle some basic Mid Market cases. Responsibilities include calculations, quotes, occupational coding, scrubbing census materials, other data reviews and client/ broker interaction.
Rate Calc Associates will collaborate with internal and external business partners to effectively manage our client’s expectations. They are required to perform clerical and moderately complex technical duties in analyzing Request For Proposal (RFP), client census data, plan design elements and monitoring timely release of rates to our national Sales offices. Rate Calc Associates may investigate questionable RFP submissions and non-standard plan request elements.
Additional duties may include, but are not be limited to:
Prices initial Request for Proposals and Requotes for an assigned region in a defined turnaround timeline
May Operate Short Term Disability (STD) experience pricing tools
Maintaining pending files and performing timely follow-ups
Communicating with Sales Associates (SA) and Sale Reps to clarify plan design specification
Furnishing daily, weekly, and monthly statuses
Participating in team projects

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
A Mandatory shift of 12-8pm will be required for 2 months out of the year.
