This position will be located in Plymouth, MN or Fort Washington, PA. This position reports to the VP, Operations Control Services. 

This position is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the Operations and Financial Control (OFC) division. This division oversees several financial and non-financial processes and control procedures. This includes the proof and control activities for the Individual Life segment, including the general ledger account proofs, suspense item oversight, haste disbursements, coordination of external and regulatory exams, fraud detection activities, and the oversight of the resolution of financial and other related issues/problems. OFC provides the ownership and oversight of the financial applications used by the Individual Life business and is the primary liaison between the technology department and the business. Additionally, OFC is also responsible for some functions that are not core to the Service Delivery operations such as abandon property and miscellaneous loss collection activity. Oversees the organization and analysis of data used for the monthly financial review with Sr. Leadership and assists management to ensure that financial risks are identified, well managed and controlled.
Due to the nature of the work, background checks will be part of the hiring process.
· Bachelor Degree (Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Risk Management preferred, or equivalent work experience, MBA or advanced technical degree a plus. 
· Experience in a Financial organization or in Financial Services Operations, is strongly desired.
· Proven knowledge of operational and financial internal control concepts and processes is a must.
· Demonstrated strong leadership skills and ability to manage in a virtual or remote environment is preferred.
· Strong organizational awareness within and outside of the department to ensure focus on the right priorities.
· Requires strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, ability to assume an influential role with various levels of leadership.
· Excellent partnering skills.
