Your key responsibilities will be to:
Appraises and underwrites applications for insurance to assess mortality risk within company guidelines to assure equitable treatment of policyholders and producers and to meet the company’s financial objectives. Reviews the most complex cases. Coordinates and responds to appeals/complaints. Maintains rapport with agents and clients. Assists Underwriting Manager in determining departmental objectives. Analyzes workflow and recommends/directs installation of improvements. Functions as technical underwriting expert with higher authority limits. Reviews statistical data and recommends changes to selection rules and/or pricing activity for assigned territory.
We are looking for an individual who will make a difference in our organization and possesses the following qualifications:
-Generally a minimum of 7 years total life underwriting experience (depending on previous experience)
-Experience in an imaging environment a plus
-Industry designations/studies preferred
-Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
