Job Title: Vice President - Asset Management
Position Summary:
This position’s main focus will be to provide guidance and oversight for the department regarding work performance, conduct, and account management. This position will be responsible for establishing, planning, organizing, reporting on, and controlling all Asset Management processes, with a significant emphasis on equipment valuation.
This position is also responsible for administrative management of department goals and objectives, and education and development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Oversee Asset Management
· Ensure compliance with Asset Management policies
· Provide leadership for direct reports, peers, and within Commercial Asset Finance
· Conduct Performance Appraisals for team members, if applicable
· Set goals and objectives for direct reports (as applicable), which reflect the objectives of Commercial Asset Finance
· Develop a team of Asset Managers to support Commercial Asset Finance
· Work closely with Marketing and Credit Management teams
· Utilize knowledge of existing business lines and streamline the process to fit the Commercial Asset Finance business model
· Properly document process flow changes and improvements to effectively support Commercial Asset Finance
· Collaborate with Marketing Management and other Risk Managers to properly underwrite transactions
· Monitor and manage the Asset Management underwriting process to ensure the underwriter’s proficiency and maximize transaction turnover, while achieving and maintaining excellent quality
· Manage the Asset Management underwriting process to ensure all risks are properly identified and summarized in a common format
· Actively participate in all Pricing Meetings for assigned transactions
· Conduct preliminary Asset Reviews for transactions
· Supervise underwriting tasks and responsibilities, including:
o Identifying key risks involved in transactions as it relates to assets securing a transaction
o Make recommendations to local and/or senior credit committees regarding assets
o Collaborate with the deal team to achieve timely closing, funding and documentation of approved transactions
o Analyze assets as required/necessary
· Interact with:
o Risk Managers and the Chief Credit Officer
o Marketing Management
o Deal Team (Management, Legal, Sales, Operations, Portfolio)
o Customers or customer representatives
o External appraisers and third-party vendors
o Environmental auditors
· Provide ongoing portfolio maintenance and review of assets in portfolio in accordance with established policies
· Provide assistance, as needed, on asset valuations in a workout scenario

PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
· Working experience with MS Office software
· Experience in, and exposure to, a wide variety of financing transactions
· College degree, MBA preferred
· 15 years experience in a lending and/or leasing environment
· Demonstrated progressive management roles
· 10 years of related equipment valuation experience
· Advanced ASA education and training
