Analyzes data that comes from assigned clients to ensure accuracy and appropriate updating to recordkeeping systems. DB Data Analyst must be knowledgeable of every aspect of the clients plan to ensure the data accurately reflects all plan provisions. Failure to thoroughly analyze data and trouble shoot issues could lead to significant downstream failures ie., final calculations, accrued benefits and client retention. Must operate in a manual environment, constantly creating unique solutions to problems. 

-Process incoming data utilizing and Excel-Based Import Tool. 
-Complete Event Processing files identifying Terminated, New and Retirement-Age Participants for purposes of appropriate participant communication. 
-Complete the 'Annual Update' process, which includes insuring accurate Accrued and Projected Benefit Calculations and Life-Count Reconciliation. 
-Complete Participant Benefit Statements which often may require complex spreadsheet calculations. 
- Complete Ad-hoc Reporting on an 'as needed' basis for clients, auditors and internal business partners. 
-Complete necessary work (extracts and updates) to provide client/participant data on the Internet. 
-Initiate corrective action as needed on plan calculations via the completion of File Fixes/Table Updates. 
-Communicate and partner with internal business partners to request information for accurate plan administration. 
Reference the plan document and interpret Plan Provisions to assure items such as Eligibility, Vesting, Service, and Benefit Calculations are applied correctly.
-Bachelors Degree, preferably in Math 
-Prefer 2+ years relevent job experience in Retirement Industry, preferably in Defined Benefits or Information Technology. 
-Exceptionally Analytical and Technical: Able to determine data and file relationship, independently identify root cause errors/problems as they apply to a plan's rules and its data, and is able to resolve and/or recommend solutions. 
-Very Strong Knowledge of Excel and Relation Database Queries - Able to handle large size files requiring formatting, formulas, links, etc., and able to analyze and solve problems with data through spreadsheet applications. 
-Ability to work in a fast-paced continually changing and improving enviornment. 
-Demonstrates qualities of self-motivation, self-learner and is creative/flexible. 
-Results-Oriented: Works with a sense of urgency to meet/exceed timing and accuracy standards. 
-Good Communication Skills: Able to convey complex information clearly, concisely and accurately, both orally and in writing. 
-Customer Focused: Always thinks of the end-product as it will exist to the Sponser and the Participants.
