This position is located within Prudential's Health and Wellness (H&W) department in Newark, NJ. The Business Analyst will serve as liaison between business and systems personnel to support department's business needs through computer systems. Represents user area in all systems enhancements/design activities and answers questions/resolves problems with systems user. Gathers client requirements for business process changes and communicates those terms to systems personnel. This position provides production support for installations, problem solving, security access, and data integrity of the production databases.
Responsibilities include:
. Responsible for enhancement and upgrading H&W applications to meet business requirements. Work with H&W associates, vendor technical resources, and HR Technology group to coordinate, plan, and implement changes to ensure successful roll out of applications.
. Functional familiarity with H&W applications and perform system modification/changes. This includes modify/add/create forms, screens, tables, etc.
. Responsible for retrieving data from outside systems and downloading into H&W applications and verifying accuracy of the data.
. Conduct user acceptance and business continuation testing and system upgrade/change requests (define test scenarios, execute test cases, submit results to technical team, and keep all interested parties updated on progress).
. Responsible for working with H&W management team to identify data and business requirements for reporting. This includes report developoment using Crystal reporting tool, quality assurance, and generation of monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports for H&W services and programs.
. Document system changes/procedures to H&W systems. Prepare related training materials and provide training to the H&W department.
. Provide technical support and problem resolution strategies for H&W department. Ensures technical issues with H&W applications are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner.
. Participate in Corporate Technology initiatives and perform testing on the new upgrades as it relates to H&W systems.
Required Skills & Experience:
--5+ years experience in systems design process, technology, user acceptance testing, writing and reviewing business requirements.
--Experience partnering with internal and external organizations.
--Solid working knowledge of MicroSoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project) and Crystal reporting tool.
--Solid working knowledge of Internet applications, client/Server architectures and other relational databases (including inputs, screens, processing logic and output as well as interface with other systems).
--Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a definite plus.
--Proven ability to work with sensitive, confidential information.
