Job Description and Responsibilities: 

--Managing discovery projects for litigation and regulatory matters in support of LCBE. 
--Managing e-discovery projects effectively to completion while keeping in house and outside counsel apprised of developments. 
--Budget and estimate for cost; send to senior attorney in LCBE. 
--Assisting with the management of the e-discovery budget including paying bills and reporting accruals. 
--Assisting with development of training programs for in-house staff on electronic discovery and discovery management issues, including compliance with RHOs. 
--Analyzing data processing and production issues, including performing data reconciliations, reviewing data processing and production reports and working with vendors to resolve issues. 
--Identify appropriate vendors for discovery project in collaboration with in-house and outside counsel. 
--Assisting LCBE counsels in scoping discovery projects and providing the information and reports they need to have productive meetings with opposing counsel/regulators. 
--Managing various e-discovery vendors, including negotiating contract and pricing terms, monitoring service levels, and escalating support issues. 
--Supervising contract attorneys used in the discovery process. 
--Researching and reporting on new case-law affecting discovery. 
--Assisting e-discovery director with the oversight of Records Hold Order (RHO) process and database. 
--Reviewing all RHOs created by the Law Department prior to approving them for distribution. 
--Helping to develop and implement training for the Records Hold Order process. 
--Partnering with Corporate Records Management and the Records Council on Records Hold Orders and other related issues. 
--Working with Corporate Technology Management, Records Management and others to draft business requirements for a new Records Hold Order system, select and review potential vendor tools, and determine whether an in-house tool or vendor tool better meets the Law Department’s needs.
Required Skills & Experience:

--3 to 5 years of relevant business experience is required 
--Finance experience a plus 
--College degree preferred 
--Strong oral and written communication skills 
--Attention to detail is required 
--Ability to partner with both internal and external customers 
--Excellent interpersonal skills 
--Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time and keep apprised of all necessary tasks 
--Must be able to work flexible hours 
--Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, and litigation support databases
